Marlin, Is there any record of a sunflower yellow deuce bought out of Canonsburg by a Tom or Lee Miller from Creekside area? It would have been after we bought ours. Have always wondered what happened to that deuce.

It's a long story, been there, saw it, read the note on the window, it wasn't a pretty sight - I think it would have torn in half if someone tried to drag it too far. It's gone from the side yard now, not sure where it went. When I saw it, there was no drivetrain, but the original block and rear was claimed to be stashed somewhere. It had a rough life.

I don't remember that, but my memory could be better. He did have some interesting stories about the deuce. The story I got,(if I remember correctly) was that one of the owners, (seemed like the 1st) bought the car and street raced it. There was a hemi car in the area that he just couldn't beat, so that's when the LT/1 came out, and a crate 454 went in. He still couldn't beat the hemi. Sounds like it went down hill in the following years, and ended up being a storage shed for straw for his dog.

Well, there is/was only one SunYellow Deuce sold out of Yenko that we know of - and it's the 'Hooper' Deuce. We don't know who bought it new, so it could have been the one in your area. However, a few miles away from you is a very long owned 'light yellow' (aka, gobi beige) Deuce that was probably sold after Earl bought the blue one (not the Spangler Deuce). This one was a 4speed with p/s, and was initially a demo car - it replaced the silver demo car that Spencer totalled into the bridge abuttment. So, perhaps it was a light yellow version?

Nope! Without page 2, and very few a/t gobi's found it is very difficult to even speculate. The one thing I would say is that I don't believe it was a common color ordered by network dealers, so Yenko does seem to have had a few more gobi's than other colors - but that's pure speculation. Gobi proved a tough color to sell sometimes, ( say 'sometimes' bec/ my original owner passed over an FG deuce for the beige!), some dealers called it 'calves shitt brown'

Trivia ?: Anyone wanna guess which dealer came up with that moniker?
