'66 El Camino 396-360hp
Crazy price IMO, but what a classy truck - especially with the simulated wire caps. Engine assembly date precedes the trim tag by a couple months, which sounds right, but there's no mention of whether the drivetrain is original.
If all these options were factory installed, this is the most loaded '66 El Camino I've ever seen. Link to 1966 396 El Camino auction 136806Z114676 |

For 1% of the price, I have a loaded 66 El Camino with 396 Powerglide,A/C,tilt,PW,PB.PS all numbers matching. The contrast is shocking.

Shocking is right! What happened to that truck?

It has been in the junk yard since 1977 and the loader bumped into a few too many times.

The engine alone is worth the $990!

When I bought my 68 El Camino, I was really looking for a 66 or 67. Just love the nice clean lines.
No regrets on my 68, as it is as rust free as I could have hoped for. Don't hate the 68 - 69, but definitely prefer the earlier two years. Price is beyond crazy.
