Default '69 Camaro mirror

Does anyone make a good driver's door mirror for a '69 Camaro that will stay put? Mine just flops down when I take off hard or when I'm at freeway speeds. I've been told that all of the reproductions are that way.

Have you tried the local Chevy dealer? Don't know if it's still available or assembly line correct but it was a couple of years ago and looked good.

Freddie these aren't the cheapest, but I've heard good things about them:

I bought a pair of morris classic mirrors for the beater El Camino. No regrets. They stay put.

I bought a reproduction mirror for my Chevelle years ago and it was loose. The dealer told me to set the mirror at the desired angle, take it back off the door, place it face down on a table and then run a bead of super glue around the ball joint. You don't see the glue and it has stayed put for over 15 years. It works for me.

I bought one of these from Paragon a few years back. It's still tight. And they will date it as well.

I've had the same problem with my 1966 Corvette. The mirror on it when I bought it would not stay put. Bought a new one from one of the Corvette suppliers and it was the same out of the box. I removed the glass from one to try and tighten it but it did not have screws to tighten the ball. Ended up buying a cheap plastic one at an auto parts chain store. This one works but the does not fit correct but it will do for now.

The Morris mirrors look like a good option but I don't need a pair.

Dave I'm kind of like you. I don't really need 2 mirrors. I have been thinking of going ahead and getting them both and putting the right one on, but I hate to start drilling holes in my door. I might try the Paragon mirror.
