Default 837 alternator date question

I'm trying to confirm a D-17-0 date stamp as known date for a 837 alternator? Thanks.

Ron, do you have this alternator already or planning a purchase? If you have it, try looking inside next to the front bearing and see if there is a date wheel. This is on my 0B13 '837.
