Having a wrong VIN on a piece of documentation being used to promote the car is a red flag. That could be fixed easily.

Yes, easily fixable but all considered now 10+ years later, Barber's Appraisal Vin discrepancy appears totally intentional to side-step responsibility whenever truths of the car being a fraud also its actual value were exposed.
