That's about right lol!! Joel would do this thing when giving a ride along...he would stick a $20 bill to the dash. If the passenger could reach up and grab the bill, it was his. Some where I have a rear view pic, his slicks were huge, maybe 30" dia. and extending beyond the wheel openings.

My Z had 4.88s in it when I got it. Worked with the 140 cam but pain to drive very far. All back roads. Too many rpms for freeway!

Just catching up on a few threads around here and loved reading up on this one. Looks like a killer car and cannot wait to see more on it. It's such a great color too!
If I can share a funny story that recently happened to me, I recently advertised a nice original flat hood for sale that came off a 68 RS (Z-Clone) that I have owned a couple times. I got a call from a guy 4 weeks ago and he said he was doing a 67 RS Z and that he needed a clean original hood for it. He came, looked at it and was amazed how straight and how clean it was...and then asked, what did it come off of? I told him it was on a Grotto Blue 68 RS car that was painstakingly cloned into a Z c/w a ton of NOS parts back in the mid 80's. I then said the name of the guy that built it and he laughed, and said I'm that guy! The one who built the car you owned. I laughed because I had met him in 1990 but could hardly recognize him some 32 years later. Anyways, he bought back the hood of the car he had built and sold some 36 years earlier that I had come to own twice. He then told me he recently bought a deep water blue 67 RS Z that he had chased for years and finally got, and now he's going to restore it. I believe it is a documented Canadian car from Vancouver, and is a deluxe interior, plenum air car. Hoping to see it someday as I really love deluxe interior cars with solid lifters. Hope you are enjoying yours. Again, such a great color in TT.
