'69 Van Nuys Z/28, now 396/4-speed
So my neighbor is still looking for a Camaro/Chevelle he can buy relatively cheaply and fix on the weekends, and this car came up in conversation. I like it but it's undocumented, and obviously it's no longer original, and needs paint and some rust attention, and. and. and...for me it's like a $20-25k car. Looking for some opinions on value!

vinyl top is in great shape, there is a few bubbles underneath it...
I would be looking very closely at the top. |

Will always be a "Maybe" car with no docs and no x code, so i would just look for a nicer car...For 32k i think u could get a nicer non hipo 69 camaro.

Thanks for the feedback - was a no-sale the last time around. Relisted in the link below.
I walked through the pics with my neighbor and convinced him the price was about $10-15k too high (just my opinion of course). Link to 1969 Camaro auction |

Relisted for $27,500, getting closer to market value.
Interesting to see all the holes drilled in the trunk - maybe some old racecar fuel system? Who knows. Link to 1969 Camaro auction |

I recognize those holes...it’s called drainage, lol.

Relisted for $30k, interesting strategy...not sure that will get it sold. Still needs a good bit of love.
Seller seems to be banking on some commentary from a previous owner, who believes this was an original Z. Not sure why no one has thought to drop the tank and look for a broadcast sheet. Link to 1969 Z/28 auction |
