Help ID these tow tabs
Got these in a trade for some stuff a friend wanted. They look legit, but repainted. What would they be for? NMW's?

They look like 1st version tb15 for 67/68 Firebird. There was at least a second version with the support tab done differently.
I dig them! |

Thanks guys!!! You guys know your stuff!
It makes a lot of sense. They came from a Pontiac guy, should have guessed that much. If they were a first design, and from Dave's catalog being possibly a second design, It looks like the original owner had clearance them a tiny bit for maybe a bumper interference issue? It looks like the ones in the catalog are a little bit further away on the mounting tab. So they are legit NMW's? Much call for the Firebird ones? Scott

Yes, definitely NMW. They don't seem to be as popular as Camaro tabs but I'm sure someone would dig them. Heck, I buy these just to collect / build a library. I have some for a 69, but not the 67/8. I make copies for some of the popular ones, but nobody has asked me for these in the last 10 years. I don't think that takes away for the coolness at all. From a collectibility, 1st design is cooler. Functionality, the 2nd designs are likely better/ safer. |
