Default '70 440+6 'Cuda Convertible

Nice car - sold for $145k at a 2011 Russo-Steele auction. No discussion of which powertrain parts are original but does include a broadcast sheet.

Current seller is asking $375k...wow. I ought to check up on a '71 'Cuda convertible that was up on blocks in a Milwaukee garage for years...valuable cars then, and even more so now.

Back in the early 80's when I was restoring a 70 Hemi Challenger, I needed a radiator (p/n 2998956, I still remember that!) to replace the original which had gone missing. Found one up in Grand Rapids MI and I drove up there to get it. Guy selling it told me it came out of a Panther Pink 70 Cuda 440-6 convertible that he PARTED OUT! Even back then I thought wow, that's gotta be a rare car.

If it was a lifetime Midwest salt car, it was probably rusted beyond help and there wasn't parts available. I parted and had crushed a number of first gen Camaro's and Chevelle's in MN that were beyond help in the late 70's...

Right you are, Mitch. Many of what were considered 'beyond help' back then would make good resto projects today due to the repro parts availability.

Default Cuda

I believe this is the car I sold to Kevin Hand before the market correction in '07 or so. He had it restored. Solid car but no sheet and nom. Tag appeared original. Non shaker. Lots of dough considering but it does look good
