Default Need MORE Reasons to Attend MCACN, November 20-21? Here ya go!

FREE SEMINARS & PANEL DISCUSSIONs:

EVEN MORE REASONS TO JOIN US!

While it is the cars and the owners that initially draw us in, we want to emphasize that the MCACN show is unlike any other, with plenty of other activities available. Here we present some of the interactive FREE seminars and panel discussions we will present. These presentations are open to ALL spectators and participants.

Meet The Syndicate, Hosted by The Southern Gentlemen:

When Oldsmobile introduced the W30 package in 1966, it was designed to appeal to drag racers. A mere 54 W30’s were built, and they were hot! Meet some of the people involved in the development of the package along with some of the drag racers that were there back in the day along with several that currently still racing them. Learn all about what makes these cars so special. Saturday at Noon and Sunday at 11:00 am.

Collector Car Fraud: What You Need to Know, Presented by Bruce Shaw Law:

We've all read it - but what does "Date Code Correct" mean? To the savvy Car Collector, it should mean - "watch out!" Date Code Correct, like "Matching Numbers" like "Survivor" - like "Born With" are all terms of art - meaning they don't mean what you think they mean! Perhaps you purchased a collector car, and you signed the Bill of Sale with an "as is" statement - and you discover later on that the collector car is a counterfeit/clone - take heart - all is not lost. These are just a few of the points that will be covered. You need to attend this one! Saturday at 1:00 pm

Drag Race Legends Panel Discussion, Hosted by Geoff Stunkard

Here is your chance to hear the stories directly from Herb “Mr. 4-speed” McCandless, Butch “The California Flash” Leal, members of the Mopar Missile team, Bob Riggle, Arnie “The Farmer” Beswick and others. These guys really know how to tell stories, and this is going to be a whole lot of fun. Nothing is better than hearing who beat who, how they did it and recollections of some incredible memories. This is the real deal and a rare opportunity that we are truly honored to present. Saturday at 2:00 pm and Sunday at 10:00 am.

Meet the Future, Hosted by John Kraman of Mecum Auctions:

Yes, there really is a future for our hobby.
These younger enthusiasts, ranging in age from 11-23 share their stories. A 12-year-old car owner, young active racers, an 11-year automotive show host and several young ladies that aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty share their passion and tell us how we can help keep the hobby alive. Saturday at 3:00 pm and Sunday at 1:00 pm.

Camaro Legends Judging:

We are devoted to “raising the bar” when it comes to judging. This often involves teaming up with others to share information and knowledge. The Camaro Legends Seminar, hosted by long time Camaro Legends judges Brad McAdam and Larry Christensen along with several members of the MCACN judging team and others explain how to take a great restoration to the next level. What is “assembly line correct” and what are the judges looking for? These questions and more will be covered. Saturday at 4:00 and Sunday at Noon.

WALKAROUND DISCUSSION:

Mustang II Concept Car, Presented by Dave Marchioni of the Detroit Historical Museum
We have had the honor of presenting the Cougar II and the Bordinat Cobra styling cars and a Chrysler Turbine Car from the Detroit Historical Museum at previous MCACN shows. This year we are honored to present the 1963 Mustang II. Historian Dave Marchioni will present a “walkaround” discussion right at the car to cover the many unique features. Saturday and Sunday, Exact times TBA.

So, plan on joining us for these, as they are guaranteed to be not only educational, but a whole lot of fun.

Can you imagine the banter among Butch, Arnie, Herb, Bob, Ted and the Missile boys and all the rest? Better fire up the video camera's! These guys are a blast and boy do they like to tell stories!

Please help us spread the word; we are FULL SPEED AHEAD for the show, November 20-21, 2021.
