I think it's not unusual to see the last 6 of the VIN stamped 'off location' like that one is. Pretty sure that is NOT Monaco orange paint that's on the car right now.

The VIN location on the Build sheet is completely normal for a Baltimore assembly, and one of their trademark tells.
Have this L-78 in my database for some 30 years, but had it noted incorrectly with the original factory Block,Trans.& Rearend.
Glad this posting cleared that up,as they aren't.

Interesting build sheet. I've not seen the last 6 of the VIN appear on the left side of the build sheet. Is this a 70 thing?

This build sheet vs car ad kept bugging me. According to Chevellestuff.net a November built Baltimore Chevelle VIN suffix would range from 112645 - 122126. The seller states the VIN as 136370B039303. According to the website, there was no VIN suffix in any of the 70 Chevelle Baltimore production year that would legitimize this VIN as advertised. The 120058 suffix would be a legit VIN suffix on this build sheet.

Not sure what the seller is really selling. I don't think this build sheet is from this car, at least it can't be as advertised. A picture of the cowl tag might help hone in where the VIN should be on this car.

Chevellestuff.net VIN by Plant and month. http://chevellestuff.net/1970/plant_prod_no.htm

I suspect the seller is a bit confused, using the '039303' number that probably appears in the upper RH corner of the TT (body sequence number) as the last 6 of the VIN. You're right, Phil, a picture of the TT/Cowl Tag would help a lot here.

The build sheet looks good. The seller probably confused the job sequence # on the build sheet with the VIN sequence. Here is a picture of the build sheet from my November built Baltimore 70 L78. The VINs are very close, assembled on the same day.

That's not the VIN in the upper left side,it's an internal tracking #,(NOT THE COWL TAG SEQUENCE #)
It's a real buildsheet,as all Baltimore buildsheets are formatted like this.
I have that exact same buildsheet copy shown in the ad here with me.
The explanation for this is the selling Dealer, mistakenly listed the wrong 6 digits at the end of the VIN in the listing ads VIN box.
They wrongly entered the 6 digits on the top left of the buildsheet,(Internal tracking #),not the correct VIN#'s in the top right of the buildsheet,120058.
If you call the selling dealer, they will look on the dashboard and read you the correct full VIN there, which is 136370B120058.
