Heard that...talk about a ball-buster for a LOT of folks. It's about the only choice they got...they can't touch the pensions and can't force folks to buy more cars. When they axed the Zeta platform, they took that money and dumped it into the truck/SUV platform instead, knowing full well gas prices and interest rates are rising, and no one's buying anything but cheap, gas miserly import cars. And now *everyone* gets the GMS discount? Is someone asleep at the wheel at GM??

In a bit of irony, though, GM & Ford have teamed up on a future hybrid vehicle...basically gonna tag team the Mopar camp, I suppose...

They have more retirees on pension than active employees.

I just saw the commercial for G.M.;
Employee price for everyone on all cars delivered by July 5th!!!

That must be why I can't get a Solstice ... held off 'til Aug - Sept.

(too bad at that pricing I still can't afford the Caddy)

I just bought a new 1500 z71 you get almost 9 grand off of the sticker price. Its a very good deal for us. I feel bad for all thoes people who will be losing the jobs from the cuts though.

I got a New Escalade Ext 2 years ago for 20,000 off sticker, They had some nice rebates back then. Talked to a Dealer yesterday and he said that was the problem, so many people bought vehicals in the last couple years that nobody is looking for any now..You will see some pretty big incentives in the next 6 months.
