Default Rare Chevrolet Day 2 Big Block Valve Covers??

Picked these up at a swap meet yesterday. The seller said they were sold over the counter by Chevrolet dealers in the early 70s. I just bought them for the Day 2 look. Has Chevrolet and "739" stamped on the inside of one of them.

Anyone know the story on these?

Look like Ansen. Nice valve covers!

"sold over the counter by Chevrolet dealers in the early 70s"...

I kind of think I remember these from old Berger Chevrolet ads, but not sure.

Thanks for the info. I'm wondering if they were actual Chevrolet parts, they both would have had a real Chevrolet part number on them.

Yes. I had a set of “motion” valve covers that were made by ansen which had the same 739 & Chevrolet markings inside. I haven’t seen any like yours with the bow tie, very cool!

Thanks for the info. Sounds like Ansen is the common theme so far.

Lee, did you have those blasted? Looks like a satin finish on them. I've got a set that I think are Ansen that were polished when new and I was thinking of having them blasted to look like what you have. Right now they look kind of like the ones Zoom has. https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthre...ighlight=ansen
