Default Ellison Engine - Cincinnati

Hey guys, Im a newbie here. I was lucky enough to work with Tom Ellison at Ellison engine service in Cincinnati OH. Im looking to see if anyone has some pics or articles of some the cars he was involved in building. These names of some of these include Granny Goose, Granny Goose 2, Hard Times, etc. He has a lot of old magazines etc at teh shop Im just wondering if anyone knew where some of these classic racers were etc so I could put something together. feel free to email as well. Thanks guys

The Granny Goose was still around the area a few years back. I'll find out whereabouts the car is today. As far as the Hard Times cars...weren't they a couple of Pontiacs? A guy In worked with a few years back had a bunch of photos of cars you have named...He was big time into the whole "scene" back in the early 70's. Look at this site...there are a few cars with the Ellison name.....

SmugMug

The Hard Times Cars are for sure on there.....and I believe the Granny Goose is as well...COOL STUFF. The page will automatically link you to a wagon that was Ellison "prepped"....so be sure to look at the rest. You won't be disappointed...but then again, there is a good chance you already have seen that site already. But like I said,I will find out for you on the whereabouts of the cars.

The Hard Times cars were Pontiacs yes. Truman Fields used to run them.

Guys, its with a heavy heart that I have to say we lost Mr. Ellison recently after a short battle with cancer. Please put his family in your thoughts and prayers.

On another note Im still looking for any information on some of his old builds. Id like to put a memorial type thing together and even talk to some of his old race friends. Any information on cars, racers, etc would be great. This includes the Granny Goose among others

again thanks
Randy

R.I.P. Mr.Ellison and hope the family gets thru this tough time. I loved going down there, all the old photos on the wall, the smells and everything.
He could make anything scream & live. I will miss him. Damn.

Anyone know how Dave Lewis who ran the Granny Goose cars is doing......Just a little bit of Nostalgia......"Granny Goose" was the name of Potato Chips made in the Cincinnatti area back then and that's where Dave got the name for the car......We met Dave at the Cincinnatti dragstip back in 66 when we were there with the "Psycho" Nova.........That was the weekend the Engine in the Nova decided to grenade itself......which was probably only the 5th or 6th run on that engine....And the rest is History...

I believe??? the Hard Times Firebird is up and running again in Stock Eliminator. Granny Goose was a modified Eliminator stand out for many years. One of the fastest D/MP cars in the country for awhile.
