Post Media Cabinet...

My car buddy Gino wants to purchase a media cabinet for his shop...he has a pretty good sized air compressor and ample space. Told him I would see what you guys suggest...

Since he is only around the corner...I will now have a place to clean my stuff

----I deal with Trinco as well. Good company to deal with. For me, it's local so I can drive down and get fresh media easily. Sand and glass would cost a fortune to ship!....Bill S

I bought a Trinco after using the economy cabinets. Nothing like using a proper blast cabinet.
LED bulbs help a ton.

This has served me well. Collector and compressor are in a separate room from cabinet, both small rooms separate from shop, to isolate dust and noise. Recommend LED lighting.

My cabinet is on wheels, I have on occasion rolled it outside and left the door open to blast long parts.

Media comes from NAPA.

I have a 36" Northern/Harbor Freight quality cabinet. If it's just for occasional hobby use, it is OK. I WISH I had a 48". If he upgrades anything, get a bigger size.
I've looked at those Scat cabinets a dozen times, but can't pull the trigger. Too many car parts to buy...
I have a 5 gallon shop vac for dust removal with HEPA filter bags to contain it. Nothing fancy, but it has hundreds of hours on it.
I buy glass and sand at Northern Tool. Harbor Freight sells media and also Tractor Supply. I have all of them nearby.
