Here's a link to the car I posted on nastyZ28.com while the car was being restored. I didn't share anything about the car here on the Yenko site since it's not really what I would consider a muscle car but it's the one car I'll never sell. My brother said she bought it in 1982 so I was off a year in my original post.

Just goes to show the power of nostalgia and sentimental value - not many would give up a Lucy Blue '72 4-speed Trans Am (one of THE rarest Trans Ams ever produced) for an '81 Z. Great, great story and condolences to you and your family for your Mom.

Thanks Des. Selling the Trans Am was a pretty easy choice once Mom's health started to fail. In researching the cars history after I bought it I found a previous owner I don't feel comfortable dealing with had owned the car so it had lost it's luster to me anyway by then. 71 and 72 TA's are still one of my favorite cars though, especially the blue 4 speeds.
