Default Best place for front and rear glass

Gonna need front and rear glass for a 70 Monte Carlo. What’s the best place to get them and date stamped? Monte forum guys have had some problems with Pilkington.

I bought mine at Auto City Classic in Minneapolis. I think it was Pinkerton, but Auto City did the etching. It came in a pallet box that would have protected it from a tank running over it! Looked great, and fit perfectly.

Pilkington should make it and will date code it LOF. I just installed one in my 70 Z/28 project with the antenna in the glass.

I bought a complete set of dated glass from Auto City Classic as well. Well packed and protected and all of it fits without any issue at all. I have dealt with them a couple of times and recommend them.

$400 for a complete set of Camaro coupe glass seems reasonable. $110 shipping.

I was lucky enough there is a Pilkington warehouse in Columbus Ohio and they will date etch it and you can pick it up. Huge warehouse. I think there is one in the midwest also.

I need to get some glass for my 70Z. Anybody in particular you talked to at Pilkington? Was yours tinted? I've heard of issues with the tint compared to OEM.

Thank you for including the costs. I always find that helpful....

Looks like ACC is a better deal. $400 for *all* the glass vs $385 for just the front and rear. And the shipping is much cheaper.

Randy is who I talked to. If I remember right, tinted windshield was cheaper than clear!
