Default 04D 1969 Calendar

My car was built the 4th week of April 1969
What dates are considered the 4th week of April?

my research has revealed no relation to actual calendar weeks. just when you think you have it another week messes everything up. if you now the gm transfer date (NCRS Doc) you ca get an idea of when the car was assembled in a particular month. several of the month bleed into the following month in my 1969 chevelle lists. good luck, Andy

Does anyone know exactly how the body build weeks were determined? Because there are both D and E months, I'm thinking they probably used a calendar much like we use in the broadcast industry for advertising billing and program scheduling purposes? The standard broadcast calendar is 12 months of equal Monday thru Sunday weeks. In order to make that happen, there have to be some 5 week months every year. I believe March/69 would have been a 3E month. In April/69, the first Monday would be March 31 and the month would end on Sunday, April 27 making April a 4D month. The first week of May/69 (5A) would begin on Monday, April 28. May/69 was also a 5D month. Thoughts and comments appreciated.

Bob

My LOS Camaro has an 04A tag, and NCRS shipper records show the production date of 4/3/69.
