CRAPPY PiCTURES

Either way all your questions will be answered in 6 weeks.....we just want to find what was 100% correct for a 1969 W-31 Four Speed - Positive Battery Cable routing.

King Kong, Ha! You’re more like Curious George, LOL

Thanks Chris.

I have the oil fill cap otw (I think it should be painted....)

Also I have the lift hook media blasted just need to paint and install.

I need to find a Californian who will take my original Balancer to Damper Doctor for me. (I can’t bring myself to mail/ship it) I will bring my original to MCACN as a conversation piece.

I would love to have more Info on the battery cable,
I reread the Assembly manual and still think I have it correct, other than right down at the starter I could run the purple and yellow a little more correctly. I also don’t see any pictures or notes stating if the yellow and purple go down the tube or not?

I don't have a '69 assembly manual... From looking at the '68 manual, it shows that all 350 engines went over the inner fender, with the battery cable tube oriented differently depending on trans type. For 400 engines, the auto trans went over inner fender, but manual trans went over engine/valve cover.

I attached pictures of each.

What do the '69 PIM pages say? Did Olds make a change for '69?

I see the same thing in the 1969 Assy Manual.

Late to the party. But you are most welcome.
I thoroughly enjoyed turning a wrench 🔧 on your car.
Great to meet Nick. Just a fabulous day.

I am a little behind on posting progress.

I am moving ahead each day, some planning, some buying last minute parts, some renting a truck and trailer, some actual work on the car :-)

I connected the fuel lines and vent at the gas tank, and of course the left over hose is too short to connect the fuel pump as it is supposed to F&$@.

I installled the cowl screen and cowl seal, and hood stop.

I installed the back seat and peeped the front seats. (Installed one to make space)

So many little things to get right (or close to correct)

I pulled the tail pipes to dress the ends.

I think I can, I think I can.

Ryan W31.

PS: today I was really in a slump, I got lots done but my head and gut are getting freaked out. I need a good sleep and more progress tomorrow!!!

PPS: our Diego, Casey, and my MSU Project W31 article hit MuscleCar Review today.... so proud, and so excited to get the students time at MCACN to share thier story. (You have to get to the panel!!!!, don’t miss it or you will kick yourself for eternity)
