The Corvette that started it all... I found the paperwork for purchasing the car when I was 18 years old, back in 1991. Put the VIN in and up came the car... 1969 L46 194379S734831

I stripped and painted the car, put tires on it and had it for 2 years prior to going to college... M21 3.70 L46 350 350

Nice shots, James! What kind of camera/settings, if you don't mind sharing?

Cheers
Dave

The yellow L46 are online shots I found...
The shots of the LT1 were as follows,
Canon 60D shot at full resolution with a 18-135 zoom hand held.
Most were shot at full 135 mm from 50-60 feet away using a 5.6 aperture. I bracketed the exposures +/- 2.
It was really bright outside so there were hot spots in a number of photos and I didn't have a polarizing filter with me.

I have been on the lookout for good scenes to shoot the car in...
I will get my tripod the 70-200 F4L and on a nice bright overcast day I will get some really great pictures.

FWIW overcast afternoons offer some of the best diffused light a photographer could ever hope to achieve.

As someone stated in the Classified Section, Ebay and others, the price on C3's is ridiculously reasonable, even the first steel bumper (both) cars. If I sold my Camaro, I'd love to get an early C3 but as I'd like to take the kids, would probably end up with an old hot rod or shoebox Chevy. But, yours if beautiful and I am going to get one sometime in the future.

I like it James. Fantastic cars. We had 2 of them. Then had a 71 454 survivor and sold that several years back due to family. Just couldn't get the family in it for the big fun car cruise events so my wife daily drove it for a couple years until she got tired of it. I bought a Z06 which my wife wouldn't drive at all so that went down the road. Then 2 years ago she had a desire for another LT1. Almost bought a very nice survivor 71 LT1 vert, white with green interior (thought that was unusual) In the end though we passed on it because we just can't do the family thing in a 2 seater. Sure do miss them though, fun cars to drive.

Incredibly fun cars to drive, I forgot how much better they handle than the A bodies and F bodies...

Dropped the tank and got the tank sheet.
Everything is legible and it is all there...
Been degreasing and cleaning the bottom of the car... Tons of ink everywhere...
Beautiful bird cage...

The original ones are so much more satisfying than the ones that have been beat and destroyed...
The one owner original paint Daytona Yellow 70 coupe at proteam would be a GREAT car with 5k put in it. To be a driver it needs Suspension Bushings, brakes, rear cross member bushings, u-joints, heater core, trans seals, and all the diff seals, probably should have the wheel bearings as well.
So 45-50 tops into a Daytona Yellow mid range survivor with everything original which would easily flight. It's a stripper... no ps pb or pw.
Was a White with blue interior 72 LT1 in Chicago a few weeks ago for 30k...
