1968 Chevelle SS396 (fully restored, matching #)
1968 Chevelle SS396. Everything is #'s matching to this car. The distributor, Transmission, rear, exhaust manifolds, etc. The factory options are air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, vinyl top, rear mount antenna. Motor is an ET code 325hp (vin is clearly on the pad and was never tampered with). The car is originally a Texas car its whole life. (see the original dealer nameplate still on the car) I still have a color copy of the title dating back to 1975. All original sheetmetal. I just completed a full cosmetic nut & bolt frame-on restoration. The floors are absolutely mint on this car. No undercoating to hide anything. I stripped them to bare metal and refinished them in semi-gloss black. The exhaust is brand new with correct style tailpipes and nice sounding Flowmaster mufflers. New master cylinder, brake booster, wheels cylinders, brake shoes, etc. The driveshaft still had its original balancing marks on it, so they were duplicated as well. The motor runs strong, and does not smoke at all, so it just received a new fuel pump, Gm restoration hoses, clamps, all new fluids, etc. You can tell how well this car was cared for because it still has its original valve covers and they are in great shape. The body was already painted in a high quality base clear in the original Grotto blue with a new vinyl top. All the emblems and chrome are new. The glass is mint with a brand new windshield. The entire black interior is brand new and mint. All new weatherstripping, new BF Goodrich radial tires and ralley wheels. The only item that is all there, but not currently charged is the AC, which I have a new compressor and dryer on order, and will be installed when they arrive. This car is a solid #2 car, and is not perfect, but a super clean local car show that is all original and #'s matching investment quality. A #1 car is worth over $60K. it had a reserve, which was not met. I have way over 19k in this car, didn't want to loose my shirt on it.
