Bill - Wayne's Dad recommended the remote control mirror as a safety feature. Wayne's Dad is as influential in his life today as he was back in the 60s. Its an odd option for a hi-po Chevy. How many solid lifter cars out there had remote controlled mirrors? Another important influence on Wayne's life back then (today too) is his little sister (14 yr difference) Rosemary. She attended most of his races and even wrote about him in her school reports. Wayne doted over her like big brothers do and they have always been real close. Wayne asked Rosemary to be the flower girl on his big day...

Very cool photos Sam, and didn't all of the Z16s have remote mirror?

Forgot about this photo. It is blurry, but I found it interesting. This was taken on 2nd day of ownership. Note that the smog equipment is already history!

Sam, Like I said, if I ever could own a '69 (other than my ELC), my wet dream would be your car. It has EVERYTHING I like in a cool car..

Interesting Sam. No overspray on the intake and crossover hose that I can see. I've got a picture of a friend's 69 Baltimore L78 Chevelle shortly after he bought it which shows the same scenario (A.I.R. also gone).

Power was measured in how fast the smog was removed after these cars left the showroom floor.

Brilliant deep groove shine, a little less bright alt. fan, diamond mesh a/c screen, yellow tip on oil stick. I don't think this was a flash shot, but that aluminum intake man. looks very bright too.

P.S. Verne...
