Default Loaded #s Windward Blue '69 Firebird 400/4-spd Convertible

Nice looking car...even has power windows. I kinda like the big wheels, too...and they're there to make room for the Wilwood 6-piston calipers.

I like the RA IV top end, the correct Ram Air setup, the M21 and the 3:90 rear.

That car must be CAF to drive! (cool as ****)

Should that car have a 12 bolt rear end?

The only Pontiac F-body that got a 12 bolt was the 70 with a 400. All TA's got them, the Formulas got them and if you ordered an Esprit with the 400 it got one as well. 1 year only.

Pontiac had their own version of the BOP 8.2 10 bolt rear end that was used in all of the first gen and most '70 Firebirds. It was the same rear end that was used in the Tempest, but leaf spring perches were used instead of the lower control arm brackets. It was 1 inch wider than the Camaro rear end. From '71 to '81 all Firebirds and Camaros got the corporate 8.5 10 bolt.
