Default 57 sedan delivery on Hemmings

https://www.hemmings.com/auction/195...ign=2021-02-06

Kinda like this car. Already has a built in receiver for trailer hitch.

Looks like a home made roll bar is also installed. Not sure if that was done in a prior life for racing, or just to stiffen the chassis.

Looks like totally stock suspension.

A bit of an identity crisis with a lot going on. 150 model with some Bel Air trim. Race? Tow? But for some reason, I really like it.

My only question is: what time period do you think this was built?

Oh, one more thing; Please give me a damn good reason NOT to buy it.

Cool car and right now, it's a bargain. Maybe early 90's? Heck, I don't know. Looks like the white nose was sprayed years later?

The only "good" reason I have not to buy it; um, you might have to buy something else to tow behind it?

So far, you have the high bid, so no sense trying to talk you out of it.
Having a hitch leads one to think it may be a 'Camino replacement ?
I agree the White looks like a later addition, maybe from a minor frontal collision and the person not able to match the flame paint ?

Either way, have fun with it, if/when you win...

Yeah, I thought of that, but how hard would it be to paint over that?

It’s running 13 year old Washington state plates and is in Colorado, so you wouldn’t be out of line wondering if it’s currently a sorted and reliable driver.

You really want to tempt fate after the "how hard would it be to remove this raised wooden floor and have it level" adventure...

I am STILL not done with that project, having been interrupted twice now with total shoulder joint replacements. Just getting back in the saddle so to speak, but planning to do some construction work tomorrow.

If I had any brains, I would find someone in Longmont to go put some eyes on it.

Anyone on the site live in Longmont, CO?

I think the white was done along with the rest of it.

Zoomed in on the hood and you can see some old pinstriping that has been polished off at some point. You can also see quite a bit of crazing in the white paint.

Putting eyes and ears on it would be the best safeguard.
I was thinking the pinstriping was bleeding thru the white, like it had been painted over. The crazing does seem to indicate old, lacquer paint.
Hopefully, you will be good to go for a while now, with all the surgeries and covid behind you...
