Default MN block

What is the biggest spread anywone has seen on a 69 Camaro MN 512 COPO block from block casting date to Motor/car build date. A friend of mine found his oringinal block for his car a few years back. The Vin stamp looks untouched to me.
The cast date on the block is A 15 9, Pad # Tx52xMN( block was probably decked slightly, very faint#'s) and 07A Norwood car. Comments?

Mike,
The January cast 512 blocks were used until at least late June of '69 for assembly. I have a late june '69 assembled Copo motor that was cast in January. There are quite a few Jan.'69 cast 512 blocks used for the May production such as the engine you know of. Not uncommon at all.
