For sale on this site in 2008. https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=100630
Looks like the vinyl top was dealer installed (or aftermarket) and that it originally had white fender pinstriping. Would be nice to see the white pinstriping put back on. White would be the default color on 71 paint absent a black vinyl top. Guessing the trim tag (no pic, which is typical of Mecum) does not show vinyl top. Now I see the tag pic on the 2008 thread. 71 71. Says restored to original. I have never seen THAT much body color on the underside. It is always just overspray. That car has body color in places you couldn't possibly hit with overspray. Just sayin. Not saying I would kick it out of the garage. From the description, doesn't sound like original born with engine, but the prior posts makes it sound like it DOES still have the born with engine. Mentions a window sticker, but no pic. I just don't get vague descriptions for such an important car. Don't get me started on the dented subframe. That isn't a difficult fix. Would expect that to look perfect on a high end COPO.
