Default Yet another uncles lost car

Im sitting in a family waiting room praying for my grandfather who's currently having open heart surgery. My uncle is telling me about his cars back in the day. He had a '69 RS Z, black with white stripes, spoilers, cowl hood, 4 speed, disc brakes. Said it cost $5k+ new? Bought new at Perry Chevrolet, (my uncle was second owner) (now Ferarrios) in Wysox, PA. Traded in to Morgan Chevrolet in Leraysville, PA in '72. He'd be happy to tell stories if anyone on here owns it. NOT looking to get it back, just says he'd be glad to help with history.

Thank you for that gents. He's a tough old bird. 84 yrs young and still hunting daily, always in the woods. Came through famously, sitting up in a chair and looks fantastic. Thanks again.

That's great. Sounds like a tough Grandpa.

The Z/28 sounds like it could have been a JL8 car based on the price and the fact he specifically mentions disc brakes.

Original black Z/28 JL8 would be very very rare, must be around somewhere.

A lot more faked ones today...

Black RS Z. Pretty cool regardless of JL8. What color interior?

He says interior was white. Had full console, 8-track, etc. he was told when he bought it that it was the most expensive car that dealership had ever sold at the time.

Wishing your Gramps a speedy recovery Todd. I remember you telling me about a few of your Uncles cars from way back when

Wow, that sounds like a sweet car. Can't wait to hear more about it if you get more info. Does he remember roughly how many miles were on it when he traded it in?
