Sorry for the confusion, Don is Gene's son who confirmed the car being a bench seat car. He traded the Z in on a new 1969 Impala Custom, then in late 1970 traded the Impala in at Reedman Chevy in Langhorne PA for a Autumn Gold LS6,automatic car that he drag raced in S/S from day one under the name Tasmanian Devil.

This April Gold 68 GTO Ram Air II convertible is an automatic car. There were only 246 RA II GTO's built late in the model year and only 47 were automatics. I couldn't find a breakdown for how many convertibles were built but I believe there are only 4 or 5 that are known. This car was a part of the RA GTO Convertible Display. I'm not sure who owns this car.
