Default 1971 Chevy Auto Show Logo?

Hello All!

I'm trying to figure out what the logo is as seen in the attached pictures.

The photo is from the 1971 Chicago Auto Show, clearly featuring the Heavy Chevy and Rally Nova. I found it on their archive website, which if you haven't seen before you can take a look here!-
https://www.chicagoautoshow.com/history/

Now, I've done my fair share of research and cannot find this logo anywhere. It almost appears to be a crest of sorts? The Chicago Auto Show has their archive pictures, and no other 1971 picture shows this logo, making me believe is not a Chicago supplied logo for all manufacturers. I believe it is some sort of Chevrolet logo.

My father is in the end stages of restoring his '72 402 Heavy Chevy car, and I'd like to find out what logo this is to try and recreate a similar (although smaller) display.

So with all that being said, can anyone identify this logo? Or by chance does someone have a close up picture of this display?

Thanks for your help!
Luke

Are you talking about the sports department logo? That would be the second design if you do a search.

Yes,Chevrolets' Sports Dept. Logo.
That's the 1970 logo shown at their '71 show,as they changed it a few times since debuting in April of 1968.
I have all their years salesmans merchandising catalogs showing the changes

Just for the record,there was a 1968/69 logo,and a 1970 logo,and a 1971 Logo,and a 1972/73 logo and around 1974/75/76 they used the same for all 3 years.
