Have done quite a few installs over the years with homes and shops. Pallet Jacks, floor jacks, and/or engine hoist and some hand tools. Never had the need to bolt one to the floor and kept all mine mobile.

I like the Atlas Garage Pro 8000 EXT sold by Greg Smith that are extra tall and I use mine mostly for parking / storage. Hard to beat the price and they seem to be well made and I have not experienced any issues with 3 that I have bought. You used to be able to get them on sale for around $2500 including drip pans, ramps, and dollies. Greg Smith was bought out and I think they are now about $3,500. The real key is having a reasonably level floor and ensuring the cables are adjust properly during assembly so that the car is lifted and stored level. There are certainly more expensive commercial type lifts available versus hobbyist type that are beefier if you're concerned. Last edited by COPO; 07-21-2021 at 09:28 PM. |

I like my 2 Atlas Lifts that I got from Greg Smith.
I did the XH-PRO8000EXT Atlas Garage Pro 8,000lbs capacity extended height lift. It was $2800 shipped to my garage in Sept 2019. I have 2 of these. Put them together myself. I use them for parking under also. https://www.tooltopia.com/Atlas-Equi...TEXHPRO8000EXT I guess Greg Smith got bought out by Tooltopia? https://www.tooltopia.com/categories...t/4-post-lifts Looks like most of their lifts are out of stock right now

Reviving the thread. Since I finally retired a year ago and I'm getting tired of crawling under my cars to do the oil changes and benchpressing rear differentials into place (today's project on the Viper), I want to finally get a four post lift...maybe dropping hints for Father's Day.
Who do you recommend as a lift supplier (and probably installer needed as well)? |

Steve, I bought a high lift bendpak 9,000 lb. I paid $5,500. I talked to Arnold Nunez. He was very helpful. Mention Jeff luzzi from colts neck. He recommended Jessie’s equipment service in waretown,nj. His number is (609)276-1214. He was excellent. He charged me $850 to put it together with his young son. Also, mention my name. Arnold’s email is [email protected]

6 years ago I bought a Dannmar 7000 series and installed it myself easily in two evenings with my cherry picker as my helper.
