Saw this post on FB; anyone know this Vette, and if it's a real BM?

I strongly doubt its a BM Vette. Joel always started with BB engines in his Vettes not SB. IMO it's a Vette with BM fiberglass kit/add-ons.
And AFAIK, he never built a Motion Phase III GT Corvette convertible. All 10 cars are coupes. |

At least three of the Corvette articles I posted from Hi Performance Cars say from 1970 on the Motion GT Corvette was available with a 350 or 454. I've never seen a convertible either but Joel did ship a lot of cars oversee so you never know. Would love to see the NCRS report on this one too.

----Back in the late 60's I liked certain Motion mods and wanted to do some on my 69 435hp coupe (I never did). I must have looked at the pics of thier front headlight treatment many, many times and still do. This converts front end seems to have a different treatment on the sunken headlights. They seem much deeper sunk into the fender than other real Motion cars. Maybe just a further mod, but it's certainly not Motion!....Bill S

I think he is saying he told the country its a 350 but its a BBC. Has a high redline tach.

Correct. The car would either be disallowed for import into the country and/or more heavily tariffed if the authorities knew it had a 7or 8 litre engine. He pulled a sneaky.
