The only Fathom Green 69 Yenko Camaro with black stripes that I know of is N663482. I believe that car was from the Pittsburg area. It was restored in the mid 90's and owned by Brian Henderson at one time. I've never seen it in person and don't know its whereabouts today.

My dad was the 2nd owner of that car. He purchased the car in the 1973-74 range from the original owner (Larry Lowe). He bought the car on a Wednesday and blew the motor up Friday night at Keystone Raceway Park. He raced the car for years at Keystone Raceway and Peterson Memorial Dragway (Tipton, PA). The car ran 11.70s with a 427, Hurst V-Gate, and 5.13s. In the 1980s he cloned it as a Z/28 with a candy-apple green paint job. Sold it to a gentleman locally in the 80s who I believe sold it to Brian, who restored the car.

The car was a drag raced from day one until my dad sold the car. My dad says that once the car got put back on the street with a car seat (ME) in the back seat it never felt the same. So, he sold it to get into Corvettes and street rods.

Hearing the stories of that car as a kid is what caused me to fall in love with Camaros. That is my all time favorite Camaro.

The Lowe family and my dad were drag racers and not SCCA racers. The car as Fathom Green was drag raced.

Few Pictures of the car. Picture of the car after its restoration. Picture of the car when Matt's Dad had the car painted candy-apple green. July 31,1974 Indiana Gazette newspaper ad that Larry Lowe posted the car forsale. When Larry passed away several years ago his phone number was the same as it was in this ad from 1974.

When in the 80's did your dad do the Candy Green paint? Do you recall it having the SCCA sticker on it when your dad had it?

#217 This LeMans Blue 69 Yenko Camaro is N615068 and it was shipped from Yenko to Broadway Chevrolet in Green Bay WI. It may have been dealer transferred to Hult Chevrolet in Madison WI and sold through there. This is an unrestored car with 27K miles. I believe this car has a CE block, but it still has its original transmission and rearend. This car was owned by Donny Hood for a number of years. Dave Beem recently purchased it and had it at the show.

#218 This Rallye Green 69 Yenko Camaro is N615076 and was sold new at Yenko Chevrolet to Clyde Krug. This car was also previously owned by Jude Hettick. I don't believe this car has any of its original drivetrain. It was also missing its smog setup. This car was part of the Mecum Display and will be at the Kissimmee Auction in January.
