Cragars
A local friend recently purchased a '69 Camaro from the original owner's family. The car is a factory 396/350 car that received a day two paint job when it was a year old. It had Cragars early in its life, although the wheels didn't stay that way.
We are planning to put Cragars back on the car with F60-15 and L60-15 polyglas... does anybody have a nice set of Cragars available that would fit? I'm thinking we would go with 15x7 for the front and 15x8 for the rear. Would prefer the correct, older style as opposed to the newer versions with the flat spokes. The car is in incredible condition for its age, so the wheels will have to be nice. Would consider pairs or the full set of 4. Let me know if anybody has anything available, thanks in advance!

Wow, just look at that paint job. Don't you dare change a thing! Except the wheels.

WOW -- Paint is right out of the 60s/70s ... to lay out something like that is a nightmare ... TAZ

Great artistry to paint like that.Lots of patience. Kudos to the people who kept the paint in that condition!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'll put a thread up in the Day 2 forum when I get some time. It might go to MCACN this fall, so I don't want to spoil it either.
It's an original cortez silver car with houndstooth interior. The car actually was in an accident in Sept. 1969, and the paint repairs didn't match the original paint well, so the original owner had it painted like this. The car has an incredible stack of paperwork... down to the police report from the accident, receipts for the paint, etc. No worries, this car is in a 100% preservation mode. It's been off the road, so it needs some refreshing in the mechanicals department, but the goal is to keep it this way with some period correct Cragars... I attached a picture of it back in the 70's.
