I received a call on 10/14 of this year a day before my mother passed stating the owner was finally prepared to sell. It certainly was a bitter sweet moment, but the great pumkin is on her way home. She still has her orig drive train and loaded with options. Sammy will be proud .. the car will be day 2ed just like the way I originally had her. Its been a long journey and I'm glad she is home. Stay tuned for the journey ahead.

CONGRATULATIONS Steve! It's a beauty! Sorry to hear about your mom Rita

Ditto Steve on both. Glad to see the car is coming home. That is a wish of many, very rare when a car comes full circle.

It is indeed very gratifying on many fronts. I had called the owner for so many years that I thought it may not happen. Being Patient (23 yrs)was the key, and now the fun begins. I have already started buying parts for the car an plan to drive this car like I stole it Oh and the Chi Town dogs at lunch were delicious

Re: What was your 1st car?
Steve:
The last time that we talked, it didn't sound like it was going to happen. I'm happy for you and glad the old girl is coming home! I'd like to think that maybe your mom had something to do with it. Congratulations, Ed
