Known as “Code Red”, this one-of-a-kind Trans Am is the ultimate pro-touring machine and a proven autocross participant. The idea was a collaboration of well-respected Jason Rushforth and Bob Bertelsen. The car was shown at SEMA and was the Goodguys Muscle Machine of the Year finalist. It competed in multiple autocross events including Goodguys, the Optima Challenge and the Baer Speed Stop Challenge. It was featured in Popular Hot Rodding magazine, Amcar magazine and on the American Muscle Cars calendar which are all included. “Code Red” has been used for many company advertisements such as American Autowire, Flex-a-Fit, Livorsi Automotive and Mast Motorsports. Countless hours were invested in the body modifications that make it truly unique. The custom work includes the hood, front nose, fenders, doors, quarters and rear end. It was finished in Viper Red with Storm Charcoal accents. The paint is absolutely spectacular and was recently ceramic coated with Gtechniq Platinum Protection. All of the exterior Pilkington glass is new and tinted. Some exterior custom features include hood heat extractors, grill, turn signals, front spoiler, functioning brake ducts molded into nose, fender vents, door handles, LED tail lights, gas filler and rear bumper. The car has a killer stance on Rushforth “Night Train” wheels that are 19x10 on the front and 19x12 on the rear with Nitto Invo tires. The beautiful tan and gray leather custom interior was done by Appleman’s Interiors. The headliner, fiberglass dash, console, door panels and rear package tray was upholstered along with the Pro-Car seats. Some of the interior features include a Mito Corp rear view mirror with temp and compass, gauge cluster inspired by the Nissan 350Z, Livorsi gauges, Ididit tilt steering column, custom dash vents and knobs, Vintage Air conditioning, custom steering wheel, Twist Machine paddle shifters, drivers remote mirror control, billet door handles, cup holders, power windows, Phantom push button start, DTS Cadillac shifter, Billet Specialties pedals and Simpson 3” Cam-Lock seat belts. It’s equipped with a modern sound system including a Sony 7” head unit, Kenwood amplifier, 4-Alpine speakers and 2- Kenwood sub woofers. The trunk compartment was also upholstered in leather to match the interior. It has a sliding storage compartment and battery cut off knob located behind the main panel. The painted engine compartment is highly detailed with many upgrades throughout. The firewall and inner fenders were smoothed for a clean look. It has a custom cowl cover, core support, wiper motor cover, coil pack covers and Ring Brothers hood hinges. The car is powered by a Mast Motorsports LS 416 V8 with 575HP and 540 lb-ft. The engine is coupled to a Bowler built 4L80E automatic transmission with Bowler 2200 rpm stall torque converter and transmission cooler. The power is transferred to the Chassis Works Fab 9” True-Trac POSI rear end with Moser aluminum center section, Moser 31-spline axles and Motive 3.75 gears. The engine is cooled by a Flex-a-lite aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The engine breathes through Sanderson headers and 2.5” H-pipe exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The painted undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout with many upgrades including a stainless steel fuel tank. It’s equipped with a PSC close ratio power rack and pinion steering system. The front suspension system is a Detroit Speed Engineering front sub-frame assembly including control arms, coil overs and sway bar. The rear suspension system is Detroit Speed Engineering four-link with coil overs. The power braking system consists of Baer 14” discs with six piston calipers in the front and Baer 13” discs with six piston calipers in the rear. This vehicle has been recently serviced and detailed including Gtechniq Platinum ceramic coating which is all documented with an invoice that is included. From the MS CLASSIC CARS collection.
