I had that happen during NCRS judging, I lost full operations points for my wipers.

There's a small lever inside of the wiper mechanism and the grease in the mechanism may get hard and not allow the lever to turn off the wipers. You can unplug the wires from the on/off switch, and it will still stay on. The wiper mechanism probably needs to come out and be serviced.

The switch controls the ground. If you disconnect the switch, do they stop?

My experience is you have to pull the power wire from the wiper motor. The dash switch is out of the loop once the motor is stuck in the on position.

That's unfortunate.
We'll check this Corvette tomorrow which having the same issue intermittently. It is in the shop for the installation of new tires from 4Wheelonline plus the alignment. The owner said his son to replace the switch but it still happens.
