Re: Alabama Deuce
I was born and raised in Albertville.I called the guy that used to work for me tonight and he said that his Aunt sold the car and it was also a Black car. He said he thought the car was an automatic. Story was that Porter wrecked his Corvette and this guys uncle drove a truck for him and got the motor from him in like 1973. Was this car still in Albertville? I have a friend whose father in law has a 1970 Nova SS 396/375 that he bought new. He sold it in 1985 and bought it back a few years later. He wont let anybody even look at it. Anyway, it just goes to show you that they are still out there.

Re: Alabama Deuce
I got to see Jim Hanke (Wheel hop) last week when he picked the car up and I want to say it was good to see him again. I met Jim a few years ago when he came through my stompin grounds. Jim sure was Smiling while showing off pictures of his new Daughter . I wish we'd had more time but Chi-Town is a long drive from Sand Mountain Alabama.Wheel hop is good people

Re: Alabama Deuce
Tommy,
thanks again for your help in loading up the Alabama Deuce and making sure all the parts were there! Next time I come through Alabama I'll make sure I have more time to drink some sweet tea with you! Sounds like a good opportunity to post a pic of my daughter.
