Default NOS '69 Camaro 140mph Speedometer?

Sounds like the seller is not entirely sure what he has, but if it was purchased in '81 I would GUESS it is original....

Better hope he has a different credit card number than he had back in 1986.

I saw a post that a friend put up on Facebook about 6 months ago showing the differences on the speedo face between an original and a repro. If I can dig it up I'll link it here.

Lot'o'dough for one part.

The green color on repros is evident from 50 ft away

X3- I am extremely doubtful this is a original NOS 140 MPH Speedo
I was very familiar with Harry and Cindy Woodrow who owned Camaro Headquarters as I lived in the area and dealt with them quite a bit back in the early 80's
They got into the reproduction market very early on, and the 140 MPH Speedo and Tach Face was one of their pieces from that time
The "NEW" Speedometers started life as a used piece and was then mated with a new silk screen face- same as the tachs
Later they had the backs reproduced and I believe should have a "CHQ" on them somewhere
I still have the release notice when these first came out, with all my other old catalogs
I probably still have a Tach face in my shop I can check for further clues

Notice the expiration of the credit card was from 1986 -so this piece should have been purchased in the 84-86 range

This is a reproduction. The 130 hash mark is in the wrong spot.
