There's no question the engine is not original. 323 block plus a horrific RESTAMP.
TRUNK Respattered evidence by color and being sprayed over the fuel vapor line which was not installed at time orig spatter was applied.
New Carpet, obviously covering the REQUIRED seatbelt holes. Carpet on bottom of door panels may indicate originals i.e., circa 70's thing to do. Yes, interior red to bright and shiny and buckets recovered.

Trunk lid bolts unpainted. Rear panel sprayed to glossy.
Missing factory lower body stripe.
No partial vin on trans just assembly date.

That said. Gotta love an AA code 67 with Red guts.

Gotta be bought Right to attempt a restoration or you be upside down very quickly

Per the ad, is it true you could order a 1967 without seat belts?
No. In fact 1967 was a year of great change in auto safety. After guys like Ralph Nader pushed harder and harder for safety regs in the auto world. Federal Standards were established and we started to see Disc Brakes now being offered in Chevelle. Collaspable steering column. Even tedious things like knobs on dash/radio being non pointed. Seatbelts in a 67 Chevelle were not OPTIONAL.
