Having done a bit of research on the C427X intake (already knew it was a 70's piece, not to mention Motion used them), most people seem to run them with a 780 (or larger) carb. Is a 750 not enough for these? I have heard they flow extremely well.

Nice...but it idles WAY too smooth IMO...I'd be itching to swap out the cam!

Nah, it's a high duration cam. Trust me, it lopes enough, and doesn't bog down at all.
