Yes, same deal in '68 for LOS cars. Sorry I didn't say something but I hadn't anticipated you pulling the tank out and stripping it.

Ain’t your fault! I was the one with the MEK and steel wool..!!. Lol. Ohh well.. live and learn. I might try to reproduce the blackout as I was the one that removed it. Idk. I’ve got time to make that decision.

Did a little more cleaning today on the interior. Working from the trunk forward.


Photo 135 - 137 - interior and passenger door interior before cleaning

Photo 138 - 143 - interior and passenger door after

Photo 144 - 145 - you can still see the tape from the shock hole when the tub was water tested.

Also added a little magnet with adhesive to the back of the dealer emblem and some dum dum and mounted it.

Excellent work and great pictures on this one Darrell. The trunk cleaned up really well as did the floors on the interior. On the exterior, the rear tail panel looks fantastic and the exterior panels really came back after the cut and polish. I can't wait to see the floor pans and tunnel area under the car and I'm hoping they are as clean as the top side?

I need to ask, was this a base interior car or deluxe interior?
