Many of the people here on this site are absolute experts on Don Yenko and his cars, I bet some could even tell you what color his piss was from the different vitamins he liked and what his favorite breakfast cereal was along with the engraving on the spoon he used to eat it with...give it a rest....To make you feel better why dont you put all the info back up and let these guys disect it for you...

Jeff:

I agree, let's keep it friendly. Surely you do understand the skepticism though. Your efforts are appreciated, even by those who may disagree. Good luck gathering info.

Flinstones vitamins weren't invented until 1981.

Just curious. Don Yenko was a shrewd businessman, so why order a COPO for racing? He had been swaping motors for years, and it would make better sense to take an El Strippo Chevelle and swap out the parts to convert it to racing trim. Why pay for parts that were going to come off the car anyway? There was no profit motive to load up a car that wasn't going to get titled. Isn't that why the ZL1's had stock tires and hubcaps? If it was raced by Yenko, wouldn't the most valuable documentation be pics of him with the car?
