With a 307 engine, that car should have a Saginaw in it. Strange that it got a Muncie.

RPO M20 doesn't mean "Muncie". As far as I know, it was just the RPO code for "4-speed (wide ratio)". GM decided what trans to use based on the engine. In this case, it probably is a saginaw.

What equipment/combo makes it a 1 of 1? Nice car but I wonder what it looked like before the resto. I think it would be worth more unrestored.

I would agree with this perspective...many Nova build sheets list M-20...that merely told the Fisher Body boys they needed to cut a hole in the floor for a manual tranny...not sure if this carries over to Chevelle docs...but, I can tell you that one of my hotrod buddies from back in the day had a similar car and it had a Saginaw "iron case gear selector"...you guys can take it from there.

I could have sworn that the ad said Muncie in it somewhere. Guess I misread it.

I know I had a "weird" '71 or '72 (really can't remember, it's been years ago)that had a 4-speed 350 NON SS. It had a Saginaw. Now, here is why it was "weird" (to me anyway). It was Red original paint with broad black hood stripes, like SS stripes, but on a FLAT hood and it was ALL original paint. I looked it up in the ordering guide and absolutely was available. I sold it at Carlisle, I think at one of the first GM Nationals, so it could still be around. My point is, it was a 350 with a Saginaw.
