Cowl Flapper Actuator position
Can someone help a newb on how a 69 Camaro cowl hood flapper actuator is oriented the assembled properly? I see that the flapper frame bolts in from the windshield side and the actuator lines up with the round hole on the underside/back of the hood. From photos of restored cars I see that the solenoid wire goes through a rubber grommet that fits in that hood hole. Which direction does the actuator spade point? up/down/pass side/drriver side?

Straight down so that it will line up with the harness through the grommet in the hood.

Many questions can be answered by acquiring a copy of the factory assembly manual.
