Default Fatal Classic Car Accident

Saw this on another site...

Tires in photo look like the car may have been tubbed...which might have played a role.

This wreck is being talked about on Team Chevelle. A member there saw it as it happened.

Last Thursday I had to help cut a 43 year old man out of his truck and another very seriously injured man from his SUV after he slammed the pickup head on at a combined speed of 120 mph while not paying attention. I felt pretty safe in my 1 ton Dually until I saw what can really happen if hit in the wrong place. You could not see daylight looking through the drivers door of the deceased man's truck and the engine was nearly besides him.

The victim left a wife and two young kids without a husband or dad because someone else was potentially careless. We were on scene for over 8 hours but so far joining the Volunteer Fire Department has been anything but boring. At least it is very rewarding.

People need to be more careful!

WOW! That happened in Pa, I think by the 570 area code? I guess I have to watch that I don't get hit in the hind end. That is horrible. Ultimate fear of a car crash! Sorry to the family.

Must have hit the rear gas tank and ignited.

I lost my brother in law to an auto accident a few years ago. All it takes is just a split second and then it happens. We were coming home from camping this weekend and some young lady was texting when I was turning left. She did not stop at her stop sign and I barely missed her. I asked my wife what the heck was that and she said that she saw her texting on her phone as she ran passed the stop sign.

Sorry to hear this news. Sad.
