Default Day 2 Tire Options

Hi Guys, I was looking for some ideas on Rear Day 2 tire options for my 1969 Camaro. I’m looking for brand new tires with the old school Day 2 look. I recently installed air shocks/extension bolts and shackles so I have plenty of clearance. I’ll be using Cragar SS 15x8. I would like at least a 10.5 wide tire. Also would like a DOT approved street slick. Any ideas as far as tire manufacturers? Vendors that sell ? Any help is much appreciated. If anyone has any photos of their current Day2 appearing modern street tires that would be awesome. Thanks Rob

Great Topic!
I really like these M&H tires-
M&H Racemaster Muscle Car Drag Tires MSS-004 at Summit, Jegs etc.
The J60-15 would look great, was thinking those on 15x7 or 15x8 Mag wheel would work without much suspension work? Sounds like you have clearance worked out.
The G-60-15 Polyglas tires are popular with stock suspension too.
Maybe some Pro-Tracs? or Mickey Thompson has something?

This is exactly what we are looking to do as well for Benjamin's build! Something new and safe, but retro appearing - except that we have to deal with the Nova wheelwell dimensions.... I'll have to check what size tire we have on there now since these BFG's fill it out pretty well.

I run the M&H Racemaster Muscle Car Series tires. The size is P275/60-15. They are 28” tall, 10” wide with a 11.7” section width. They are on 15x8 S/S wheels with 4.25” backspace.

I can personally say that they definitely look old school and 100% dead hook on the strip AND the street!

Kurt
