Default Corvette #100

Looks like my old 1953 Corvette just sold for $300,000.00 @ Carlisle yesterday. I sold it to Bill Greger out of Long Island New York who owned #101 back in 1991, then he had a matched pair by Vin, Engine, Transmission #s. Alan Blay restored it and painted it back in the early 2000's. When I sold it, Everything was original to the car, including the complete interior. Bill

Thanks Tim.

When I bought it, I was doing some of the Towing for Hoskins Chevrolet at their Elk Grove Village location and saw that exact photo in the trophy case located in the customer lounge. Tom Hoskins Sr. was gone by then so I questioned his Son's about the person who purchased it and they remembered it was someone to do with American Airlines.

My Uncle John was one of the United Pilots that help put together the United Airlines museum so I asked him if he knew who this guy was, and he got me all the information he could to research him.

That was how I put together the previous owners prior to me like Riley who at the time was Northwestern University's Varsity Football coach. I called his widow and talked to her, but she had nothing that could help so she had her Son call me back. I even sent his widow a large Pointsetta plant at Christmas time thanking her for her time. Riley sold it to the guy I purchased from in 1989. I believe we are only caretakers of these historic Vehicles, so any information I could find was important to this car.

And after watching the video again it was 2019 when Alan Blay painted it, not the early 2000's like I previously stated. Bill
