Default 1968 Corvette 427 Factory kustom Headers

I have a set of 1968 Corvette 427 kustom header -pipes. GM numbers 3981591 and 3981592. They have been in storage for many years. Does anyone have a idea what the pair are worth or a fair market value. Thanks...

----They appear to have been flattened and rpaired more than once and that will hurt the value. Limited market but the part#'s help. My WAG would be maybe $750.00.....Bill S

Interesting that 3981591 was the part number for the LH header with collector. I've neveer seen that number stamped on the flange. Usually it is the header part number, 3960709 along with the OK Kustom number.

Thank you to everyone who responded to my post. I found out from several folks the history on the headers (very rare). 6 pairs were made by kustom for the Chevrolet test facility. They were installed on the L-88 Corvette, tested and approved. Later used on trans am Corvettes.

Thanks again,

Happy Holidays

----These headers were absolutely available over the counter at any Chevy dealer. Who knows how many sets were ordered from dealers with part numbers. My 69 L-88's original owner bought a set. I also bought a set of OK's for my 69 435. That set didn't have the factory part numbers but was otherwise exactly the same. I also had a set on my 1970 LT1 Corvette.....Bill S
