Vin is a 1969 for sure. On the Novas the 6th digit on the VIN denotes the year.

I saw Chevy 11 on the work order. Thought that 68 was last year for that. Vin is obviously 69.

Quite likely it was was bought from Gates by one of the Burris brothers that lived in Osceola IN at the time.

As I recall, they had a trucking company, so they could have well hauled it wherever they wanted to race it. I don't recall it ever having been raced locally though.
