Wow.That shot of Lance's car brings back a lot of memorys.I hung around with Rick Eaton of Golden Mile Chev and he was a close friend of Lances.Rick had similar Camaro that they ran in Super Stock.Back then high stall converters were not fully developed,so get the cars off the line they would do a spin wheel start.With the line loc on and sticky Atlas Buecrons on the front the car would sit with the rear tires spinning at say 5000.When the lights finally came down all they did was let go of the line loc button and stab it.It sure was hard on the starting line considering a lot of tracks didn't have cement.I ended up buying a hugger orange COPO Camaro that originaly came from Golden Mile.My first car was a 1969 Camaro 350-300 4 speed from Belmont that was a demo owned by Dave Mackay.Great times.
